The Wallace Nutting Arm chair is based on a chair built by Wallace Nutting in the 1920’s. Nutting became enamored with 18th century American furniture. When my father started in the 1960’s the only books available on period furniture were from Wallace Nutting including The Furniture Treasury and Windsor Chair: an Illustrated Handbook. Today there are hundreds of how to books on Windsor chairs and furniture but Mr. Dimes had to figure it out on his own. That is the nature of a pioneer.
